Man Killed By Hit-Run Driver On Baltimore-Washington Parkway: US Park Police

US Park Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway late on Monday night.

At 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, a Park Police spokesperson said that an investigation was launched on the parkway in the area of Route 197 in Laurel after a man was struck by a driver who sped away.

The man - whose identity has not been released by investigators - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said that US Park Police detectives are looking for a metallic blue Nissan Maxima that will have damage to the front driver’s side and mirror that was involved in the fatal hit-and-run.

The investigation forced a road closure for several hours until the roadway was reopened at approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
